CONCEPTS AND QUOTES

We offer the preparation of free, two-variant concepts for PUMPTRACK tracks, including full site development. In these proposals, we visually present the track layouts and locations on the proposed site. We also provide a detailed description of key parameters, technical specifications, and estimated costs for the complete construction of the facility.

To prepare a concept, we require the following information:

  • Plot location (address, plot number, or Google Maps link)

  • Site dimensions

  • Anticipated budget

CITIZEN'S BUDGET

In the past five years, half of the pumptracks we’ve built were initiated by local residents! Most of these projects were funded through citizen budgets.

We support those who submit pumptrack proposals to local budgets by offering expert guidance, providing promotional materials for the project, and preparing a concept along with an estimated quote for the full construction. Contact us if you need more information!

LET’S BUILD A PUMPTRACK – A GUIDE TO THE CITIZEN’S BUDGET

We’ve prepared an e-book that walks you through the entire process of submitting a pumptrack project to the citizen’s budget. Inside, you’ll find examples of successful projects and tips on how to navigate the procedure effectively.

GOOD PRACTICES

Public Consultation

Consulting the target user group is essential when planning a pumptrack. Meeting their expectations is key to creating a facility that will be well-used and appreciated. A track designed in collaboration with its future users is more likely to become a popular and vibrant community space.

Location

Choosing the right location for a pumptrack is crucial. A well-designed facility will attract many users, so it’s important to situate it in a place that is easily accessible and well-connected to the rest of the city.

Although riding on the track itself generates no noise, it is still a gathering place. Therefore, selecting a location that avoids potential conflicts with nearby residents is important.

FOR THE INVESTOR

We Support You at Every Stage of the Investment

We know how to make the most of every piece of land. When designing a facility, our goal is not just to create a great park or bike track, but an investment that brings joy to all its users.

Who Do We Design and Build For?

Our facilities cater to a wide range of users – from small children on balance bikes, to teenagers seeking high-adrenaline entertainment, to professional riders refining their technique. This diversity of interests drives growing demand not only for bike paths or mountain biking trails, but also for bike parks and PUMPTRACK playgrounds.

Top Safety Standards

The Swiss Council for Accident Prevention (BFU) classifies PUMPTRACKS in the “blue” category of sports facilities, meaning they are considered as safe as children’s playgrounds.

Investment Costs

PUMPTRACKS are among the most cost-effective sports facilities, significantly less expensive than traditional alternatives such as artificial turf football fields. The asphalt surface of a PUMPTRACK is highly durable, resisting both intensive use and weather conditions, which keeps maintenance costs virtually negligible.

Choosing a Contractor

Building a PUMPTRACK requires specialized expertise. Proper profiling and placement of obstacles are critical and cannot be fully determined at the design stage—they must be refined during construction by testing for ride smoothness. A lack of qualified staff and ongoing adjustment can compromise the entire investment. Experience in constructing standard bike paths or pedestrian-bike paths does not provide the technical knowledge necessary to build a PUMPTRACK safely and effectively.

FOR THE DESIGNER

Location Requirements

A pumptrack attracts large numbers of children and teenagers, so ensuring maximum safety is essential. The facility should maintain a safe distance from streets, parking lots, and railway tracks. Tracks can also be designed among trees or other vertical obstacles, adding variety and challenge.

Terrain Requirements

The land intended for a pumptrack should be flat or gently sloping. Construction costs depend on the geotechnical conditions of the site, which influence the choice of the base layer and the drainage system.

Surface Area

The track can be designed in any shape, but its minimum width should be 15 meters. A varied pumptrack typically starts at around 800 m², while the most popular and well-used facilities usually cover an area of 1,000 m² or more.
